WHO IS ENDLESS RED?

My Life As Kzarina

Hi! My name is Kzarina. I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada, the Biggest Little City in the World. I’m an artist, a climber, a parent of a three-legged cat named, Herman, a friend, a daughter, a sister, a lover of life, and so much more.

Below is a little bit about me. ☺︎

My Life As Endless Red

Growing up in the desert has sculpted the foundation of my art today. In 2022, I made the big jump to leave home for the first time and moved to Austin, TX. In the two years I grew my roots there, I found inspiration in the world of reuse. Moving to a bigger city, I came to realize how much material there is in the world, so why not create with what’s already out there?

I made it a mission to purchase materials from thrift stores, yard sales, and local bead stores. I buy very little new material because it feels good knowing I’m cutting up old necklaces that were probably made in the 1980s and haven’t been worn in 15 years.

Now in Brooklyn, NY, I’m still continuing my mission: to make the unloved, loved again.

When I’m not creating one-of-a-kind pieces, I tend to my garden of creativity & movement. This includes rock climbing, film & digital photography, poetry writing, dancing, drawing, roller skating, ceramics, and gentle stick n’ pokes.

My Life As A Climber In Marketing

It wasn’t until 2016 that I found a beautiful and deep appreciation for rock climbing and having the Sierra Nevada Mountains in my backyard. It started when my friends took me to Rock Sport, Reno’s first indoor climbing gym, and let me use their monthly guest pass. The kind staff handed me rental shoes, a harness, and an ATC. They taught me how to tie a figure eight follow-through knot and how to top rope belay. Since then, I knew I wanted nothing but to join the climbing community.

When the opportunity came to apply for a Front Desk position, I sent in my resume immediately. After over a year at Rock Sport, Mesa Rim Reno opened up, and I knew this was my chance to grow further in this career. Within a year of Front Desk, a Marketing Coordinator role opened up. As I read the job description, I thought, “You’re telling me I get to combine my love for art and my passion for climbing and make it a career?” I was beyond determined to make that role mine.

Now, five years after signing that offer letter, I’ve gained an abundant amount of knowledge about climbing, marketing, graphic design, and being a voice for the climbing community.

In my years of climbing, my favorite climbing destinations that have my heart would be: Bishop in CA (especially the Sads), Donner Lake in CA, South Lake Tahoe in CA, and Fontainebleau in France.
